Counselling
The student counsellor can provide assistance if you need someone to engage in thoughtful discussions with you and offer support in matters related to learning and personal development:
planning studies and gaining a deeper sense of learning;
setting goals and moving towards them;
creating good habits;
learning motivation and joy of learning;
learning skills and time management;
realising your individual potential and analysing your study path;
general issues and opportunities related to learning and studies (organisation of studies, elective subjects, etc);
career planning.
Our student counsellor Liisa Pettai meets with students on Wednesdays from 14:00 to 15:45 and on Thursdays from 13:30 to 15:15 in room A111. Prior registration is required. You can find a suitable time in the booking system. To schedule a separate appointment, please send an email to liisa.pettai@tmk.ee.
The school psychologist is here to offer support and assistance if you:
have concerns you would like to discuss;
feel lonely, tired or anxious;
lack faith in yourself and your ability to cope, feel insecure;
are afraid of something that hinders your performance of school obligations or normal coping;
have difficulty managing your emotions;
wish to discuss your relationship with a teacher, friend or family member;
want to explore your future and learning opportunities;
want to understand yourself better (your personality and abilities); have learning difficulties.
Our school psychologist Krõõt Soomets meets with students on Wednesdays from 16:00 to 18:00 in room A111. Prior registration is required. You can find a suitable time in the booking system.
The Counselling and Crisis Help Centre of Tartu also continues to provide its services. To schedule an appointment directly and privately, please call 742 7555 or 5551 7427, visit Vaksali 14 or email tnk@tnk.tartu.ee. Each client is matched with a counsellor who specialises in their specific concerns and will serve as their psychologist for the required time. When reaching out, specify that you are a student at Heino Eller Tartu Music College.
