Eller Girls’ Choir
The Eller Girls’ Choir first came together in 2010 when a choir studio was established at Heino Eller Tartu Music College.
In addition to the concert events in school and the City of Tartu, the most important performances of the Eller Girls’ Choir include participations in international choir competitions, which have brought renown to both Estonia, the City of Tartu and the Heino Eller Tartu Music College.
KÜLLI LOKKO
Founder and conductor of the Eller Girls’ Choir since 2010
Külli’s accomplishments in conducting and the achievements of her choirs include notable successes: winning the Cork (2014) and Derry (2017) international choir competitions in Ireland, performing on the prestigious stage of New York’s Carnegie Hall (2015), receiving the Conductor of the Year title from the Estonian Choral Association, securing the Grand Prix at the Seghizzi (2016) International Competition of Choral Singing in Italy, winning the Estonian Mixed Choirs’ Competition ‘Tuljak’ (2017), claiming the Grand Prix at the 14th Estonian Chamber Choir Festival (2018), achieving second place at the Tours International Choir Competition, and being awarded the Best Conductor title in France. In addition to the above, they have delivered dozens of concerts in different parts of the world, with Australia being the most distant among them. This is a shared journey of growth, for which Külli is deeply grateful to her singers.
Külli Lokko is the founder (2018) and director of the E Stuudio choir and dance school.
